Made in Britain

Designed and built in Britain

Every RBK is designed, developed, manufactured and tested in the United Kingdom. The same team takes the unit from first concept sketch to final sign-off, so build records stay with the product and support comes from the people who made it.

Keeping the whole process in one place shortens the loop between what the field reports and what changes on the production line.

UK manufacturing
01 — Design
Drawn around the deployment

Enclosure, antenna layout and thermal path are modelled in-house before anything is cut. Every decision is weighed against carry weight, one-handed setup and how the unit behaves once it is wet, cold or covered in dust.

02 — Development
Hardware and firmware together

RF, power and software engineers work from the same bench, so routing, mesh behaviour and interface are tuned as one system. Prototypes go out to operators early and come back with notes that shape the next revision.

03 — BUILD
Built by British partners

Machining, board assembly and final build are all handled by our British partners. Components are traced to their source and each unit carries a build record that stays with it for the life of the product.

04 — Testing
Proven before it ships

Units are cycled through temperature, ingress, drop and RF range testing, then bench-checked individually before dispatch. Nothing leaves the building until it has held its link under the conditions it is rated for.

Questions, answered.

What is included in the Praxym RBK?+

A purpose-engineered monocoque enclosure integrating an enterprise-grade router, LiFePO4 battery, field-accessible interfaces, integrated 5G, GNSS and Wi-Fi antennas, and support for selected LEO terminal configurations. Configuration varies by buying route.

Is RBK suitable for defence procurement?+

RBK has been developed with defence user feedback and is in use with Royal Air Force users. Contact Praxym for procurement documentation.

What is the battery life of the RBK?+

RBK uses a LiFePO4 battery providing up to approximately 45 hours on cellular (5G) connectivity alone. When operating in dual-uplink mode (cellular and LEO satellite simultaneously), battery life is approximately 8 hours. Actual performance varies with signal conditions, connected devices and environmental temperature. External 12V DC or AC mains power can be used for continuous operation.

What are the physical dimensions and weight?+

RBK measures 320mm × 399mm × 106mm and weighs 7.87 kg, including the battery, router and satellite receiver. It is designed as a single-person-carry unit, and the monocoque enclosure is compact enough to fit in a vehicle boot or equipment locker.

What are the current lead times and availability?+

RBK is UK-manufactured and available for pre-order. Lead times depend on configuration and quantity. Contact Praxym directly to discuss your timeline and receive a delivery estimate tailored to your requirement.

What warranty and support is included?+

All RBK units include standard product support covering documentation, user guides, deployment guidance and direct technical support. Warranty terms are confirmed during quotation based on configuration and service package. Extended support and 24/7 managed service monitoring via the UK Connect NOC are available as optional additions.

Is training available for RBK operators?+

Yes. Praxym offers operator and administrator training for teams deploying RBK in field environments. Training can be delivered remotely or on-site and covers deployment procedures, router configuration, troubleshooting and best practices. Training documentation is provided as part of the programme.

Is a managed connectivity service available?+

Yes. Through UK Connect, managed service customers receive 24/7 NOC monitoring, proactive fault detection, incident response and regular service reporting. The managed service is available as an addition to the RBK hardware and includes SLA-backed support and a dedicated service management contact.

Can I get a trial unit before committing to purchase?+

Trial unit availability is offered to qualifying organisations on a case-by-case basis. Contact Praxym to discuss your requirement, operational environment and evaluation criteria. Trial arrangements are typically confirmed following an initial briefing or demonstration.
